WHO IS MIKAEL SKÖLDEBORN?
A man who thinks he's still very young... attracted to challenges and tries to keep the door open to new experiences.
I started in the car industry with sales in 2000 at Jaguar, I spend thirteen years doing that, then I found my right path at Autoropa. I am very interested in the meeting and what occurs when doing so, also building the relationship that you do together with the prospective customer, we have very interesting customers!
MC trackdays is a big interest that takes up a lot of my free time, I also play guitar, photograph and I try to read as much as I can.
WHY AUTOROPA?
If you've been in this business as long as I have, there's only one place, I remember the rumors when I was at Jaguar, there was a kind of aura around Autoropa. The way of working here has always attracted me, you really have freedom under your own responsibility.
I had a dinner with Martin and a former co-owner of Autoropa in 2005 at Koi in Malmö and the plan was of course to get me here, my son was still in unborn and was planned within two weeks, so I declined with the justification that I would never be at home, I know myself... In 2013 I took the step myself and it's been history since then.
FAVORITE EVENT AT AUTOROPA?
There are so many, hard to pinpoint just one! But a
great experience was of course when we had an F40 for sale. I had only been
working here for a couple of hours... the car was in the the workshop for a
checkup before a customer would come and have a look at it.
I ran as a dash out to the workshop and introduced
myself to the technician as the new employee in sales, and asked if I could
join the test drive, I mean, oh my… it
was an F40 …!
At that point I really understood the passion for Ferrari, so it was a very important meeting in my everyday life.
